Tuesday

?But... What?

So it has been a whole week.

Hugh played on Friday and it was titillating to say the least.
So i was standing behind the bar when this dodgy looking geezer comes up to me and says "can i get a double JD innit" so i pour it for him and he just walks away, goes over to Hugh and starts harassing him. Now i am thinking great there always has to be one at the party. Before i could go over and tell him to leave the musician alone as hes not a juke box out of nowhere he turns around with a mic in his hand and starts beat boxing along with Hugh, then afterwards came up to the bar and asked me how much his drink was, so said "that's 5 quid man"...no not really a gave to him for free, i mean come on the dude has just put down some serious skills and the crowd loved it.

Then came Sunday/Staff Party...
WOW!
The Three Bars

Once upon a time there were three bars. The Union Paddington (Daddy Bar), The Union Chiswick(Mummy Bar), and The Green Room(The best Bar), they decided to have a little get together on a Sunday evening.
They all gathered at "The Best Bar" and the night started out very civil...
and then all hell broke loose, people were dancing, singing and laughing. this wasn't suppose to happen it was supposed to be a boring staff party...
Now there are people sliding or at least attempting to slide down the tables...
Now they are dancing on the bar and having water fights...
Now they kissing each other, boys and girls, boys and boys, and Oh Yeah! girls and girls...
Now there falling over, Daddy Bar, Mummy Bar and...
wait The Best Bar is still standing...well barely...
Now there being sick in the back, out the front and on them selves...
Now they are sleeping on the floor, on the pool tables and out the back...
The next day there was not a sound not even a murmur only the left overs of the night before, all the bars went on the merry ways and not a word was said.

The End

Monday

What's been happening?

Yes, it has been a couple of days now since the last post, a lot has happened. Hugh Neal played on Thursday night and killed it -you can check him out next Friday.

Friday was the start of the Six Nations - I am by now means a rugby fan (or sports fan at all really), and Friday was absolute carnage, I literally watched a man drink two bottles of Jagermeister, maybe twelve cans of red bull and was (at least I think) still able to spell his name.
Going to be planning a fundraiser on the 19th of February for the Australian flood victims, mate - so watch this space for further details.
On the 25th of February there is going to be a big one! A group called "The Collective" are going to be playing and opening a band called “Foxy” – it’s only going to cost five pounds and I guarantee you it’s going to be like fairies have fornicated on your ear drums.

Oh!
I have also decided to start a new page called "I Over Heard It".

I had stopped at Tesco’s (sort of convenience store) to get some essentials before work and was standing behind two girls, and happened to over hear their conversation...

Thursday

Midget in a tiger suit

Good day to all the millions and millions of devoted readers I have, tonight the one and only Hugh Neal is going to be playing from 8 PM.
So last night two girls, whose names I cannot reveal as I just don’t remember, managed to charm us in to letting them stay behind for a drink after we had closed, for some reason they seemed to think that this was a lock in. I have no idea why, the door was never locked they could have left at anytime.
Now I don’t know what they have heard or if they have actually ever had a lock in but they seemed to be expecting something fantastic to happen, and kept asking with big child like eyes “So what happens at a lock in” well, nothing really, it’s not as if a giant mirror ball descends from the ceiling, dancers rise up from the floor and burlesque-like waitresses bring you cocktails whilst a midget dressed up as a tiger blows fire at the front door to keep out all of the “unlucky ones”. No no, just a couple of pints and then home. The thing that surprised them the most… their bill, they actually thought they were going get free drinks all night.

Tuesday

Free Pint Thursday!

This Thursday we have Hugh Neal playing, and the offer still stands, if you bring a signed photo of your self i will give you a free pint... or two depending on how much imagination you have put in.
Also... keep the 25th of February open because a band called The Collective are playing and they are well worth checking out!
